MMB was founded in 1996 by Dr. Lutz P. Michel in Essen/Germany and is now located in Essen (headquarters) and Berlin. Besides the owner and managing director, the MMB team consists of permanent and freelance members of staff. Most of them have a degree in social sciences, mainly in communication and media studies.
